All Day Slimming Tea pairs a caffeinated morning blend with a senna-based evening 'detox' tea, discloses no herb amounts and supports dramatic weight loss claims with testimonials and a largely unrelated reference list. Senna and full-strength licorice are poor choices for months of nightly use, and garcinia adds a rare liver risk for little benefit.

Best for: Tea drinkers who want a caffeinated green and oolong morning blend and understand any weight effect is small; not a good fit for nightly long-term use of the senna evening tea

What we like

  • Ingredients for both the morning and evening blends are listed
  • Green and oolong tea supply caffeine and catechins with modest evidence for energy expenditure
  • Familiar culinary herbs such as ginger, peppermint and cinnamon
  • Brand says it is made in the USA in an FDA-registered facility
  • Bulk pricing drops to $49 per month on the six-month package

Watch out for

  • No amounts disclosed for any herb in either tea
  • Evening tea relies on senna, a stimulant laxative recommended for under one week, taken nightly for months
  • Licorice root is not stated to be deglycyrrhizinated; with senna, both can lower potassium
  • Garcinia cambogia has weak weight loss evidence and a rare risk of serious liver injury
  • Dramatic testimonials and a reference list built largely on blogs and unrelated ingredients
  • No single-month option; 60-day guarantee excludes shipping costs

What is All Day Slimming Tea?

All Day Slimming Tea is a two-part herbal tea program sold by All Slimming Herbs. Each month’s supply is two resealable pouches of 30 tea bags: a “Morning Energy Tea” and an “Evening Detox Tea.” The brand describes it as a “delicious 100% natural tea” for weight loss, detox, digestion and better sleep, based on a traditional recipe from the Nicoya peninsula in Costa Rica. It is sold through the brand’s website with ClickBank as the retailer.

The sales page lists the herbs in each blend but gives no amounts. The Morning Energy Tea contains green tea, oolong tea, orange peel, lemongrass, ginger, dandelion leaf, ginseng root, Garcinia cambogia, monk fruit, natural mint and lemon flavor. The Evening Detox Tea contains senna leaves, licorice root, peppermint leaves, fennel fruit, orange peel, cinnamon bark, dandelion leaves, lemongrass, ginger, monk fruit and natural honey and lemon flavor. We could not find a Supplement Facts or ingredient panel showing how much of each herb is in a tea bag, so we rate dose disclosure as none.

How All Day Slimming Tea claims to work

The brand says the morning tea will “increase your metabolism and energy level, reduce your cravings and appetite, even reduce fat production and fat storage,” so “you can lose weight naturally while enjoying all the foods you love.” The evening tea is said to “reduce constipation, cravings, appetite and bloating,” support detoxification and help you sleep. The page states that more than 18,761 people have reached their ideal weight and that “some have lost over 100 pounds,” and its FAQ says the tea “is proven to support healthy weight loss.”

We found no published study of this tea. The reference list on the sales page mixes a few real studies, many of them on ingredients the tea does not contain (such as berberine, chromium and Gynostemma), with health blogs, a news aggregator and a student e-portfolio page whose title claims a Stanford discovery about garcinia and ginseng. The refund policy page goes further, telling customers the tea “has been scientifically tested, so if you drink it, IT WILL WORK,” and urging people who have not lost weight after 29 days to keep going. These are marketing statements, not evidence.

What the ingredients actually do

Senna: the “detox” in the evening tea

Senna is a stimulant laxative. LiverTox notes that senna is “included in several herbal teas, used for purging and in weight loss,” and that it is recommended for short-term use only, less than one week. Its side effects include cramps and electrolyte imbalance, and long-term use or misuse can lead to a “cathartic colon,” with rare cases of liver injury after months of high-dose use (LiverTox: Senna). Senna does work for constipation in the short term: in a 28-day trial, 69% of people with chronic constipation improved on senna compared with 12% on placebo (Morishita et al., 2021). But this tea is meant to be drunk every evening for three to six months, and any weight it removes is mostly stool and water, not fat. Learn more on our senna page.

Green tea and oolong tea

Both come from the same plant and supply caffeine and catechins. NCCIH says these “may have a modest effect on body weight,” with results that vary by product and activity level (NCCIH: Green Tea). In a small calorimeter study, full-strength oolong tea raised energy expenditure by about 3% over water, an effect similar to the same amount of caffeine alone (Rumpler et al., 2001). That study used tea brewed from 15 grams of leaves a day, far more than one tea bag. See our new oolong tea page and our green tea page.

Garcinia cambogia

Garcinia’s hydroxycitric acid is the main “fat-blocking” claim. In a 12-week JAMA trial, 1,500 mg a day of hydroxycitric acid produced no more weight loss than placebo (Heymsfield et al., 1998), and a meta-analysis found an average extra loss of under 1 kg, with uncertain clinical relevance (Onakpoya et al., 2011). LiverTox rates garcinia a likely rare cause of liver injury, including severe cases (LiverTox: Garcinia Cambogia). More on our garcinia page.

Licorice, ginseng and the rest

The evening tea lists licorice root without saying it is deglycyrrhizinated. Regular licorice contains glycyrrhizin, which NCCIH warns can cause serious problems such as irregular heartbeat, especially with large or long-term intake or in people with high blood pressure or heart or kidney disease (NCCIH: Licorice Root). Both licorice and senna can lower potassium, so the combination deserves caution. The “ginseng root” is not identified by species; Asian ginseng has mixed evidence for fatigue and none for weight loss (NCCIH: Asian Ginseng). Ginger may help nausea (NCCIH: Ginger), and peppermint, fennel, cinnamon and dandelion are reasonable flavor and comfort herbs with little evidence for weight loss (NCCIH: Cinnamon, NCCIH: Dandelion).

Who it may suit, and who should skip it

The morning tea alone may suit a tea drinker who wants a caffeinated, flavored green and oolong blend, as long as they treat any effect on weight as small. The evening tea is harder to recommend for daily use because of senna and full-strength licorice. If you have hit a stall, our guides to weight loss plateaus and liver-healthy weight management cover approaches with better evidence, such as protein and fiber at meals, strength training and sleep.

Skip this tea, or talk with your doctor first, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18; have high blood pressure, heart rhythm problems, kidney or liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease or a history of disordered eating; or take diuretics, digoxin, corticosteroids, blood thinners, diabetes medication, stimulant medications or antidepressants (garcinia has been linked to rare serotonin-related reactions). People sensitive to caffeine should avoid the morning tea late in the day. If you have ongoing constipation, see our guide to sluggish, irregular bowel movements rather than relying on a nightly laxative tea.

Price, guarantee and where to buy

All Day Slimming Tea is sold through the official All Slimming Herbs website. At the time of our review there was no single-month option. A two-month supply cost $159 ($79 per month) plus shipping, three months cost $207 ($69 per month) and six months cost $294 ($49 per month), with bonus digital guides on the larger packages. The brand also says it is made in the USA in an FDA-registered facility that follows GMP guidelines and was tested in independent labs, but no test results are posted. The guarantee is 60 days, and the sales page notes it is “minus our shipping cost.” Since the brand itself recommends drinking the tea for at least two months, the smallest package uses up most of the refund window.

Our verdict

All Day Slimming Tea pairs a caffeinated morning blend with a senna-based evening “detox” tea, discloses no amounts, and backs dramatic weight loss claims with testimonials and a reference list that is largely unrelated or unreliable. Senna and full-strength licorice are not good choices for months of nightly use, and garcinia carries a rare liver risk with little benefit. We rate it 2.1 out of 5. For better-supported options, see our best weight management supplements guide and our weight management hub.

Ingredients and the evidence behind them

Ingredient Amount Why it’s included Evidence
Senna Not disclosed (Evening Detox Tea) Stimulant laxative behind the evening tea's 'detox' and anti-bloating claims; effective short term but recommended for under one week. Strong
Oolong Tea Not disclosed (Morning Energy Tea) Caffeinated tea included for metabolism; raised energy expenditure about 3% in a small study, largely explained by caffeine. Limited
Garcinia Cambogia Not disclosed (Morning Energy Tea) Marketed to block fat production and curb appetite; trials show little or no extra weight loss, with a rare liver injury risk. Limited
Green Tea Not disclosed (green tea leaf in Morning Energy Tea) Source of caffeine and catechins with a possible modest effect on body weight. Limited
Licorice Root Not disclosed (Evening Detox Tea; not stated as deglycyrrhizinated) Flavor and digestive herb; glycyrrhizin in regular licorice can raise blood pressure and lower potassium. Limited
Ginseng Root Not disclosed (species not specified; Morning Energy Tea) Included for energy; Asian ginseng has mixed evidence for fatigue and none for weight loss. Limited
Ginger Not disclosed (both teas) Flavor and digestive comfort; best evidence is for nausea, not weight loss. Moderate
Peppermint Not disclosed (leaf in Evening Detox Tea) Flavor and digestive comfort; little research on peppermint leaf itself. Limited
Dandelion Not disclosed (leaf in both teas) Promoted for digestion and fluid loss; no compelling human evidence. Preliminary
Cinnamon Not disclosed (bark in Evening Detox Tea) Flavor; research does not clearly support cinnamon for weight loss or blood sugar. Limited

Side effects and who should avoid it

The evening tea’s senna can cause abdominal cramps, diarrhea, dehydration and loss of potassium, and long-term use has been linked to a ‘cathartic colon’ and rare liver injury. Regular licorice root can raise blood pressure, lower potassium and, in larger amounts, cause heart rhythm problems; combined with senna, the potassium risk adds up. Garcinia cambogia has been linked to rare but serious liver injury, plus headache, nausea and diarrhea. The morning tea’s caffeine from green and oolong tea may cause jitteriness, poor sleep, a faster heartbeat or stomach upset. Avoid this tea if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18, and talk with your doctor first if you have high blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease or a history of disordered eating, or if you take diuretics, digoxin, corticosteroids, blood thinners, diabetes medication, stimulants or antidepressants. Stop and seek care for severe abdominal pain, yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine or a racing heartbeat.

FAQ

What is in All Day Slimming Tea?

The Morning Energy Tea lists green tea, oolong tea, orange peel, lemongrass, ginger, dandelion leaf, ginseng root, Garcinia cambogia, monk fruit and flavors. The Evening Detox Tea lists senna leaves, licorice root, peppermint, fennel, orange peel, cinnamon, dandelion leaves, lemongrass, ginger, monk fruit and flavors. No amounts are given.

Does All Day Slimming Tea work for weight loss?

There are no published studies on this tea. Caffeine and catechins in green and oolong tea may have a modest effect on body weight, and garcinia showed under 1 kg of extra loss in pooled trials. Senna in the evening tea can lower scale weight by emptying the bowels, but that is not fat loss.

Is it safe to drink the evening detox tea every night?

It contains senna, which LiverTox says is recommended for short-term use only, less than one week. Nightly use for months can cause cramping, electrolyte problems and, rarely, liver injury. Talk with your doctor before long-term use.

Does the tea contain caffeine?

Yes. The morning tea contains green tea and oolong tea, which naturally contain caffeine. The brand does not state how much caffeine is in a cup.

What is the refund policy?

The brand offers a 60-day money-back guarantee, minus shipping costs. The smallest package is a two-month supply, and the brand recommends drinking the tea for at least two months, so the refund window is short relative to the suggested use.

Where can I buy All Day Slimming Tea?

It is sold through the official All Slimming Herbs website, with ClickBank processing orders. The brand's affiliate terms prohibit listing it on Amazon, eBay or similar marketplaces.
